This document contains the records of a UAP sighting reported on 18 November 1966 in Lebanon, Ohio. The incident involved two children, aged 8 and 10, who were awakened at approximately 0405 hours when a fireplace screen fell in their home. Upon looking out a window, they observed a red light moving overhead. The witnesses described the light as fluctuating in brightness, appearing to get brighter and dimmer repeatedly. One witness noted that the object appeared to be a 'lighted saucer tilted on its side' and described it as rotating or revolving like a merry-go-round, but faster. The children reported that the object eventually faded or disappeared, and a couple of minutes later, another object appeared, moving in a more westerly direction. The children subsequently woke their father, who was unable to see anything upon investigating. The father later dictated the children's accounts for the official U.S. Air Force FTD Form 164 questionnaires. The official conclusion reached by the Air Force was that the observation was consistent with aircraft, noting that Base Operations confirmed several aircraft were in the area at the time of the sighting, which provided an accounting for the event.
