Project 10073 Record: UFO Sighting in York, Pennsylvania, 11 November 1966

This document contains a Project 10073 record regarding a UFO sighting reported in York, Pennsylvania, on November 11, 1966. The witness, whose name is redacted, reported observing a shiny metal cone-shaped object with short wings. The witness stated that on the first day, the object disappeared behind a row of houses. The following day, between 4:15 and 4:30, the witness observed the object again in nearly the same position. The witness noted that they were standing approximately 90 feet from a telephone pole, and the object appeared to be directly above the pole, moving in an easterly direction at an estimated distance of one mile. The witness also mentioned having sent a report to A.P.R.O. (Aerial Phenomena Research Organization). Major Hector Quintanilla, Jr., Chief of Project Blue Book, responded to the witness on December 13, 1966, stating that the information provided was insufficient for evaluation and requested that the witness complete an attached FTD Form 164.
