This document is a Project 10073 record detailing a civilian sighting of an unidentified object in Blue Point, New York, on October 30, 1966. The observer reported seeing a cylinder-shaped object in the western sky for 60 minutes. The object was described as having a white top, a red bottom, and a green light that appeared to rotate around the middle. The witness noted that the object had appeared for three consecutive nights and eventually disappeared instantaneously to the north. The report was taken by M Sgt [illegible] Read. The investigator noted that there was no reason to doubt the sincerity of the observer. Following standard procedures, the investigator checked with the Grumman Aircraft Operations Section, which reported no aircraft flying in the area.
