Project 10073 Record — Jeffersonville, Ohio, 1 August 1966

This document contains the Project Blue Book record for a sighting reported in Jeffersonville, Ohio, on August 1, 1966. The primary witness, a 14-year-old male, reported observing an object at approximately 0215Z. The witness initially described the object as looking like a searchlight flying through the sky. As the object passed overhead, the witness noted that the beam of light disappeared and three red lights became visible in a triangular formation. The witness estimated the object's altitude to be between 1,500 and 2,000 feet and noted that it moved from the northeast to the southwest. The witness reported that the object made no sound and moved behind a cloud group during the one-minute observation. The witness also noted that he was with his father and brother at the time of the sighting, and they all agreed on the information provided.
