UFO Sighting Report — Oxford, Ohio, July 6, 1966

On July 6, 1966, an individual associated with the J. H. Dubois Book Store in Oxford, Ohio, observed two unidentified objects in the sky between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM. The witness described the objects as having blinking, whitish-green lights. The objects were observed moving from the north-west to the south-east at a rapid pace. The witness noted that the objects were completely silent and appeared to be moving too fast to be a conventional aircraft at a low altitude, yet were too high to be silent if they were indeed aircraft. The witness reported that the lights simply disappeared and there was no visible cloud cover. Following the report, Major Hector Quintanilla, Jr., Chief of Project Blue Book, responded on July 27, 1966, stating that the information provided was insufficient for an evaluation. The Air Force requested that the witness complete an FTD Form 164 to provide further details regarding the sighting.
