Another Triangular UFO

This document, authored by Dan Lloyd and published in the Flying Saucer Review (Vol. 12, No. 6, Nov-Dec 1966), compiles reports from the Daily Colonist regarding sightings of a mysterious triangular object in the Victoria, British Columbia area on March 31, 1966. The primary incident involved four young people—Gordon Young, Wayne Henderson, Heather Woods, and Carol van Humbeck—near Glen Lake. At approximately 8:10 p.m., Young and Henderson observed a flashing triangular object in the north-western sky while traveling to visit Woods. After alerting Woods and van Humbeck, the group observed the object for about 15 minutes. The witnesses described the object as having flashing red and green lights while in motion, which turned white when the object stopped. The object remained motionless for about five minutes, changed color to green and then red, disappeared, and subsequently reappeared further south before flying away. Carol van Humbeck noted that the object emitted a very sharp whirring sound. Simultaneously, a Saanich Peninsula resident, Mrs. Bea Lamprecht, reported observing a light in the sky while driving. She stated that the object was definitely not a plane, was too small to be a helicopter, and appeared to hover and change color before disappearing.
