This document is a Project 10073 record detailing a UAP sighting in Elmhurst, Illinois, during the summer of 1965. The witness, a physician specializing in internal medicine, reported observing a large, flickering orange light on clear nights over a 30-day period. The object was described as stationary, occasionally fading, disappearing, and reappearing. The witness provided a detailed account of the object's appearance, noting it was round and sometimes exhibited a tail. The sighting was investigated by Sgt Moody, who traveled to Chicago to interview the witness. The official conclusion reached by the Air Force was that the object was the planet Jupiter. The witness also provided a handwritten narrative and sketches describing the object's behavior, including a second phase where it appeared as a brilliant yellow flame with a rapid northeast downward motion.
