This document is a Project 10073 record and an Air Force incoming message regarding a UFO sighting reported on 28 September 1965 in Kent, Washington. The witness, a 65-year-old woman who worked as an assistant reporter for the Seattle Times, observed the phenomenon for approximately 30 minutes starting at 0425Z. She reported seeing one or possibly two objects that appeared to be the size of a baseball. The objects were described as having no distinct shape, no tail, no trail, and no exhaust, but they exhibited a spinning motion while remaining stationary in the northeast sky. The witness noted that the objects displayed distinct red, green, and blue-green colors. The observation was made using binoculars under clear, calm weather conditions with no moon. The report indicates that the observer did not notice the object until it was pointed out by her daughter. The official conclusion reached by the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron was that the sighting was an astronomical event involving the star Capella. No physical evidence was recovered, and no interception action was taken.
