On 17 September 1965, a sighting of two unidentified flying objects was reported in the Pacific region at coordinates 34.27N 155E. The incident was documented through military message traffic originating from the 326 Air Division at Kunia Facility, Hawaii, and addressed to various commands including Hickam AFB, Pearl Harbor, and Wright-Patterson AFB. The objects were described as bright white lights observed during two separate passes. The first pass occurred from the southwest to the northeast at a medium altitude, while the second pass occurred from the west to the east at a low altitude. The motion of the objects was noted as appearing erratic during the second pass, and the speed for both passes was described as great. The official conclusion reached by the evaluating agency, FTD, was that the objects were satellites, noting that their speed, description, and flight direction were consistent with previous reports of satellite observations.
