Project 10073 Record Card and Correspondence Regarding Ubon, Thailand Sighting

This document file contains a Project 10073 record card and related correspondence regarding an alleged UFO sighting in Ubon, Thailand, on June 20, 1962. A former U.S. Army soldier wrote to the Aerospace Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on October 28, 1963, requesting information on the incident. The author claimed that the sighting was known to high-ranking military officials at the time, including Brigadier General Stephan McElroy and Army General James Richardson. The Foreign Technology Division reviewed the request and determined that there was no prior correspondence or case file regarding this incident in Air Force records. Consequently, the Air Force informed the individual that they were free to discuss the sighting as a private citizen, provided they understood that their opinions did not represent the military service. The official conclusion recorded on the project card is that there was insufficient data for evaluation, and the initial report was treated as hearsay.
