Project 10073 Record Card — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 23 May 1962

The witness, a former Sergeant Engineer Gunner with the 8th and 9th Air Force during World War II, reported observing a saucer-shaped object with a dome and motors for approximately 45 minutes. The object appeared four separate times, each for about five minutes. The witness described the object as being light gray or silver, approximately 15 to 20 feet in diameter, and solid in form. It reportedly emitted a hissing or loud humming sound. The witness noted that the object's bottom half rotated in the opposite direction of its flight. While the object was circling, the witness estimated its speed at 300 to 500 MPH, but noted it moved at a 'terrific speed' when it disappeared.
