Project 10073 Record Card and Correspondence — Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, August 1960

This document contains a collection of records related to a UFO sighting reported by two 12-year-old witnesses at Camp Brosius in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, on the evening of August 26, 1960. The witnesses, who were on vacation, reported observing a shiny, red, circular object at approximately 10:20 PM local time. They described the object as being about one-third the size of the moon, moving from the northeast to the southwest, and eventually disappearing behind a group of trees. The witnesses were initially looking for the Echo I satellite when they spotted the object. They subsequently wrote to the U.S. Air Force and the Adler Planetarium to report their observation.
