TWO MEN SEE "QUIVERING" UFO

In the second week of May 1959, Mr. J. H. Kacer, a night watchman at an Aluminum Plant on River Road in East Richmond, British Columbia, observed an unidentified aerial phenomenon. At approximately 5:00 am, under partially overcast skies, Kacer noticed the east side of a building illuminated. He then observed a large, motionless, ellipsoid object positioned about one-third of a mile southeast of the ALCAN buildings at an altitude of approximately 1,000 feet. The object featured a dark upper section and a reddish-pink glow below that appeared to be 'quivering' like an arc welder. Kacer summoned another individual to witness the object before it vanished into the overcast. The object possessed a cabin above a circular airfoil with visible port markings. Approximately five minutes later, upon returning from a second building, Kacer observed the object hovering again. After a few seconds, it circled the main masts of the CKWX station located south of the ALCAN plant before departing to the east at an 'amazing speed.' The incident was reported to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Subsequently, Kacer was visited by two men in plain clothes, one from Ottawa and the other identifying himself as a United States Lieutenant Colonel. While the first individual remained non-committal, the American officer reportedly expressed a hope that the objects were extraterrestrial in origin.
