Specifically, a B-47 aircraft, identified by the call sign 'Albert 55', reported two B-47s flying in close formation at the same altitude and heading as the unidentified objects. Major Chester G. Krieger, Director of Intelligence, concluded that these B-47 aircraft were the probable cause of the sighting.
