PROJECT 10073 RECORD CARD - Seminole, Texas - 27 April 1958

On April 27, 1958, at 0429Z, a civilian observer in Seminole, Texas, reported a sighting of three unidentified objects. The objects were described as egg-shaped, approximately three feet wide and four feet long, and reddish-white in color. The witness observed the objects moving in a straight-line formation with increasing elevation before they ascended into cloud cover. The entire observation lasted less than one minute. The witness reported that the objects made no sound and left no tail, trail, or exhaust. The weather conditions at the time were described as a night with heavy overcast and 15 percent cloud cover. An investigation by the 34th Air Division, in coordination with Fort Worth Flight Service, determined that two flights of F-100 aircraft were en route from England AFB, Louisiana, to Cannon AFB and Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, at the time of the sighting. Each flight consisted of three aircraft. Despite this information, the official conclusion regarding the cause of the sighting remained listed as unknown. No physical evidence was recovered, and no radar contact was reported. The report was processed under Project 10073.
