On June 12, 1957, at 19:30 local time, a 32-year-old foreign correspondent in Milan, Italy, observed an unidentified aerial object while scanning the sky with field glasses following a severe storm. The witness reported that the object approached from the East, moving in a zigzag pattern at high speed before lowering over the city. The object, described as being the size of a hen's egg and green-yellow in color, appeared to rotate on its axis and remained stationary over the city at an estimated altitude of 6,000 feet. After 17 minutes, the object swerved toward the upper atmosphere, leaving behind two white-orange vapor trails.
