According to the witness, the object appeared at approximately 0145 or 0200 hours. The witness described the object as a round, dull red light that appeared from underneath the right wing of the aircraft and passed by the tail. The object was observed for approximately 3 to 4 seconds and was described as being larger than the tailpipe of a jet, maintaining a level flight path heading west. The witness noted that the object appeared to be roughly 1,000 feet below the aircraft and mentioned a possible indication of static around the object's edges. The witness explicitly stated that they did not see any windows or openings on the object. The report was submitted years after the event, with the witness noting that they had been curious if anyone else had corroborated the sighting.
