Project 10073 Record Card — Adona, Arkansas, 28 August 1956

This document is a Project 10073 record card and associated correspondence regarding a UFO sighting in Adona, Arkansas, on 28 August 1956. The report was filed by the 825th Air Division at Little Rock Air Force Base and addressed to the Air Defense Command. The primary witness, a civilian woman, reported observing a bright object that appeared star-like but was significantly larger and emitted rays. The object was initially stationary in the east but moved slightly to the southeast over the course of an hour. The witness noted that this was the third time they had seen such an object in the early morning hours. Notably, the witness claimed that at one point, the rays from the object illuminated the tree limbs above their heads for a second or two. The official conclusion reached by the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) was that the sighting was likely caused by the planet Venus. The report includes a formal letter from the observer requesting information about the object, as well as administrative documentation confirming the report was submitted in accordance with Air Force Regulation 200-2.
