The sighting was reported by a student at Holyoke High School. The witness observed 5 to 10 spherical, silver-white objects leaving vapor trails. The objects were reported to have criss-crossed, stopped, and then resumed movement with sharp turns. The observation was made in excellent visibility conditions. A formal investigation was initiated, and a Form 164 was sent to the observer, but it was never returned. Military radar control in the area reported negative results for the sighting. The case was subsequently evaluated by the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) in January 1956, with the final conclusion recorded as 'possibly aircraft.'
