The observer, a civilian located between Walnut Ridge and Flippin, Arkansas, reported observing white objects moving from north to south for a duration of 25 minutes. The report includes a teletype message (JESYQ 55B) sent from the Flight Service Center at Maxwell AFB to the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, as well as the Air Defense Command and the 33rd Air Division. The teletype confirms the sighting details and notes that an American Airlines flight (Flight 281) was also in the vicinity. The official conclusion reached by the investigating authorities is that the objects were likely contrails produced by B-47 aircraft, which were confirmed to be operating in the area conducting bomb plots at the time of the sighting.
