Canada's Department of Transport Studies UFOs

This document provides a summary of two specific sighting reports investigated under the Canadian Department of Transport's Project Magnet during July 1952. The first incident, identified as Case IX, occurred in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 3, 1952. A single observer reported seeing a bright, round, amber-colored light at 11:55 PDT. The object moved from the south in a northwesterly direction before turning due west and heading southwest, remaining in view for approximately one minute. The second incident, Case XVI, took place at Nootka Station, British Columbia, on July 30, 1952. At 1:37 PST, the station's lightkeeper observed a luminous object traveling in a northwest by north direction. The object was visible for between three and four seconds as it passed almost directly overhead. The observer noted that the object produced no sound and left no vapor trail.
