He observed them flying in a semi-V formation in a straight, level path at an estimated speed of 300-350 mph and an altitude between 3500 and 5000 feet. The witness reported hearing a hollow, muted whistling sound, which he compared to a blizzard or hurricane. The objects eventually faded over the horizon.
