Rapport: Sighting of an aerial object in Saittarova, October 5, 1946

This report, dated October 9, 1946, documents a sighting reported by an electrical fitter named Lennart Mattsson. On October 5, 1946, at 20:49, Mattsson was leaving a school in Saittarova when he observed an object in the sky. He described the object as spherical and noted that it moved horizontally from the east in a straight westerly direction at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters. The object exhibited a reddish-yellow glow and traveled at a very high speed without making any sound. Mattsson stated that he was certain the object would crash into a mountain located in its flight path, but he observed no such impact. The witness was alone at the time of the sighting and reported that he had not heard of any other individuals observing the event.
