These observations were followed by a loud explosion. The lir;'lt flash frotn the object and tl1e noise from the explosion were sufficient to wake people at several homesteads as far as thirty-five miles apart. Full details, including the direction of travel of the object 11ave not yet been received here. Ho\vever, questionnaiI'es have been forv1arded to Cloncurry Police Station for completion by the various witnesses. TtNo observers at Bang Bang Homestead reported hearing niore explosions at approximately 2145 hours on 14th Septe~ber, but reports of t'i.~explosjons have not been received from otl1er sources.
