The observer rushed to his living room and sighted a craft that was estimated t o be about 10 0ft. in diameter and had concave sides. A bright yellow-green light came from the concave sides of the craft and the craft itself produced a pulsating sound similar to a piece of wire vhirled at high ~P ~ bove a per son ' s head. Except for unusual incidents, we records for the concerned date. tio n was recorded at the control have disposed of our aircraft movement No incident similar to the UFO observa- elicopter operations from this airport normally do not operate the area or at the time involved. The observations related in paragraph 2 of your memorandum give indica- tion of l ow altitude operation of a turbine-powere d helicopter. I would suggest contacting Sherman AAF, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and Marshall A~, Ft. Riley, Kansas, for possible information. Those facilities are both southwest o the location reported and conduct extensive helicopter ope:rations.
