His boy and a neighbor, 11 years old saw a UFO land on the high\lay They had called the Miami County Sheritt. / The object was tear drop with three white light and a t&il with one red light. In the air the object looked about I the aize or a thumb. 'When it was on the ground on Rt 25-A it covered the ro9.d. There was no other traffic on the road. Object W!! on the road tor about one minute. Turned the cyele around and by the time turned it around the object we gone. About 1/4 mile from obJect. It looked like it was on the ground but the light looked real high and then it looked like~ was coming toward them. They first saw the obJect in the air. It came over us (the witness) and stood and then looked like it zig-zasaed then went in the field It was in the middle of the road gloving. About 1/2 mile from the object. MEK> FOR TBE RECORD SUBJECT: UFO Observation and landing, 20 Sep 67, Tipp City, Ohio Lt MaraDD spoke with the Sheriff ot Miami County. He asked the Sheriff whether they bad UF'O sighting tor last night the 20th of September. He said that 1he only one they had was trom Hensball where two boys had seen a saucer. A deputy went'dow to the area and couldn't find anything. Deputy had taken the report. The Sheritt said he would send Lt Mareno a copy or their report. 'l'bey reported going North on 25-A when the flying saucer hovered over them until they went to the intersection of route 571 and 25-A. The object was large rectangular when it came downA Whlte glAriDg light blinded them. Lt Marano spoke with Mr. Shumaker ot the Dayton Tower. He had ~ aircraft at 1118 or 1119 pm 20 Sep a DC-9 approach did come slightly East of Tipp City DC-9 came from the NOrth making its approach slightly East or Tipp City. An rican 727 came trom the south and made its apptoacb slightly East of , TiJPCity at approximately 1129-1130 pm. A Twin Otter DHC6 left Vandalia at 1126 , pm going NW then North. Probably vould have been between 1200 and 3000 ft alt, slightly west of Tipp City. The other ~lanes vould have been at about 1200 rt altitude. all had red beacons rotating, one on top and one on bottom. The outbound planes would , have had condenser chargers on wing tips. The approaching planes would probably have , had their landing lights already on or would have turned them on as approaching Tipp City. The Twin Otter would not have had his landing light normally on, however there were o~h~r aircraft iD the a~e~ he may have flashed his lights.
