Tc~pc~ature 9 degrees. Quiet night, but could hear no sound from object. Object NNV of rny position. Thought too late of attempting to detect pattc~n to flushes. Mother called me afte~ watching object fo~ two(?) minutes, said light much brighter before she calle d me . Fathe~ saw object only b~iefly, when it WQS quite dim. No rudio masts or other tall st~uctures in that secto~. Object sparkled quite brilliantly. Sky very steady, stars did not twinkle. No disturbance on Shortwave band~ 7.0 through 10.0 megacycles while Mother had object in sight. No eloc~rical disturbances or secondary effects not~d in our ared. Recieved report of similar object on 1 January of this ye~r from boy who said he had seen it some tim~ earlier for sevcrul ni9hts in succesion from his home (which is scvc l mi:cc from our~) during the same time period fa~ u long~ = in~crvul.
