Lt. C Jt.. Hector QuLlt"luilla Statement, included at Blue Book, to the effect Lh:tf 1 i "ujcct was not moving except to1hen the witness would travel in li :q", is absolutely incorrect; if the \Jitnes::; is t o be believed :~r i . \J j tne:;s stated that the object suddenly sped up and rushed nray :r "_riten it was approaching me it had only vibrant red 1 ighL Lha t \.;'\1" 1 iill e \.Jith respect to the light, '"itness staLed, "there is not i . .1. i<nm..r of, or that I 've ever seen \<lith red lights thnt were 'lS ; as brilliant". Finally, to~itness became frightened bccau~c object app! r d so clvse directly over her car, and yet said there was no s, . .,, .. ; tt all. Unless one is will i.ng to call Lhis an absolute hallucin 11 nnd that there was no physic a l out it present whatever, the .. . -1t ion "aircraft" simply won' t hold up. This case is sufficientl y interesting for me to inL" o,. the witnesses, as there were two rather than one as stated o 1 o 'Je're independent and talked about it only after each h n d seen .i I parately. I will make this personal in~estigntion and report ]:,ter. I would agree to~ith the evaluation of po!>sib1e birds, b n i suppose to be fair we should als o add, possible unidentified (rlata insufficient, no followup). The card indicates one object, <1nd the report, however, clearly indicates that 10 to 12 lights re observed flying in V formation. This actually strengthens Lite "possible birds" evaluation. 24. 4 April 1967, \{heeling, W. Virginia. This is not i n my files. April 1967, \.Jestminister, Colorado Since the 164 was not returned the evaluation "insu J C ic ient data", I suppnse , is entirely correct, but the case itself is interesting in that there \o~ere 15 \li tnesse5. Here is Oile case the Condon Co11ani.ttee should have looked into, since it \.JC15 right n t their b,ck do'lr. They should have looked into it particularly since there t.:Cl:'e 15 t.:itnesses. Also the object was visible for 1 5 minutes , and it \.a., obscnrcd throug:... telescope . Even at this late dote this migltL be worth n c.tll.
