Description of Object: (1) Both objects round. (2) Object Number One: Dime size; Object Number Two: Small (3) Bright Red. (5) Staggered some distance apart (approximately 10). {6) Smaller object (number 2) flashed white once or twice then (9} Number one appeared as 2 red lights fusing together. B. Description of Course of Objects: (1) Noticed objects in Eastern sky when observer went outdoors tvi th dog. (2) Number One: Approximately 50 elevation at 80. Numbe r Two: Approximately 45 elevation at 90. (3) Objects were visible when observer went indoors. (4) Objects remaine d in fixe d position. (6) Objects were observed for approximately one and o n e ha l f h ours . C. Manner of Observation: (l) Ground-visual (2) Observer was wearing bifocal prescription glasses correcting for near-sighted vision. D. Time and Date of Sighting: (2) Night, haze. E. Location of Observer: 81 23 S'W 28 SO'N. 200 feet Northwest of Lake Weston, Orlando, Florida. F. Identifying Information on Observer: (1) Civilian -Mrs. Age 44 Orlando, Florida, 32810, Clerical Assistant GS-5, Hq AAVS (AVMDC), Education level - 2 years college. Estimation of reliability -Average. G. Weather and Winds -Aloft Conditions at Time and Place of Sightings: (1) Observers account: Calm, Hazy. (2) HcCoy AFB Wind Direction and Velocity: (3) Ceiling: High. (4) Visibility: 10 miles (5) Amount of Cloud Cover: Thin, scattered. (6) Thunderstorms in Area: None. (7) Vertical Temperature Gradient: Not Available. H. The local planaterium reported the planets Mars and Jupiter, both red in appearance, were in the area of the sightings. J. None reported. K. NCOIC, Ground Training Section, Operations and Training Division, 1360th Air Base Group, Orlando AFB, Florida. The investigator contacted the Central Florida Museum and Planeterium of Orlando. The observer at the planeteriurn did not actually observe the objects covered by this report, he felt certain the two objects reported were the planet Mars and Jupiter that have the apoearance of bright red fixed objects in the Eastern sky at this time of year and location.
