Of c ourse, there are proo- abl; thousands of sighting reports ahead of mine, and I realize that you ~ust have quite a job on your hands, but I am concerned about my sli:3s, so I a~ s ding you a description of these slides, and the UFC itself. I sighted the liFO on the night of January I8, I967 at 6:55P~I, it =~se out o f the Korth-\vest, it Has a bright blue- \Jhite light, Ji..:.....j, and with a ':>::...ui sh tinge to it s edges, and I cannot state 1 t s exa:~ size, and ca~ o~ly s uy that it seemed to b e about one-quarter :;::-!e-half the di2 .. ::.et~r of the t<oon. This reddish .::...:.g:1t moved i n the same direction as the blue-\vhite lig:-. -c, for a short C.istance, and then stopped. I verified this by \v- atc~::.~3 i~ through a pair of 7x50 binoculars, the U?O stopped jus t op?~3~te a s~all s r, and did not mov e in relation t o tha t star for se7a:-~: ~inutes, a it did not move out of the 7x50's field of vision e::.. ~.::. ~=-. : ~ stctyed ~;):ionless for several minutes. .::~.1 it did !!:)?e again , it moved off tothe south- \Test, and then r..Ja.::::d to a southerly course, vJhich i t maLntained till 'In~ slides of the U:F'O are on Anscochrome D- 200, exposure \las I/4 of a s~ccnd, at aperture F/2, the slides are nmnbered I3, I4, I5, I6, & I7 r~spectively Th~.re i s also a sepa rate Anscochrome slide that '"as taken through a threcl-L1.ci.1 a stronomic a l telescope at about thirty po\-ler.
