The Williams county sheriff'~ department was notified of the object'a presence at 4:28 this momtng when officers of the Indiana State Police told them they had spotted the object In their state and were following it along Route 20 when It appeared to cross the state line Paul Snivley, 1'\ight desk man at the sheriff's depRrtment, notified both ~he Montpelier and Wes\ Unity police depart ments and they continued the watch. Both Remi Vanhaer enb of Mont peHer and Georoe Robinson of Weat Unity re ported &eeing the object. Both offleert stated the object gave off a bright litht and appeared to be about the abe of a basketball. They stated It hovered ov~rhead for between 2S minutes and three-quarters of an hour \lnd then rnoved in a southe.asterly direction. Robinsoft stated he notified his wife of the object and ~the reported seeing It aa late aa 7:00 this moming and It didn't disappear until daylight.
