M i s s contacted as suggested and could give no addi~ io nal informat on . 2. The preparing officer, M made a check with Base Operations and the Control Tower. They revealed no sightings or reports of s ighttngs from aircraft in the area on that particular day. He also checked with the Base Waather Station and there was no weather phenomenon the area that could have lead to a mirage or reflection type sighting. 3. Conclusions by preparing officer: a. Visual observatio n from the window revealed the morning star (Jupiter) and another planet th ears near and to the lower left were i n the 1 ine of sig~t o Due to the time period and lensth of sighting (3 : o 4 hours), it is probable the observer was watcr n g the morning s:ar and the associated planet. b .
