The object was located in a hay field appr9x- imately 5 miles east of Kirkwood, Pa. The witnesses watched the object for a short time. It was emitting a humming noise on the outside and a grinding noise was noticed coming from the inside.of the object. Witnesses vrent to the nearest telephone and asked the operator whom they should call and the operator connected them with McGuire AFB, N.J. McGuire instructed them to call the Pen
