They returned outside and at this time the object appeared to have taken a soltd roundish shape, with one trailing edge. The trailing edge was pointing eastward. They observed the object in this position for a period of approxi- mately 5 to 10 minutes, and .while observed, tt changed to a "tear drop". shape and stayed in this shape until approximately 0510 .hours, when it could no longer be see~ due to the oncoming daylight. This object was sighted by approximately 7 members of the Duty Section of the Military Police Company. Brief stateroents were obtained from each of the above individuals. 3. In an attempt to relate this incident to other activities in the San Diego area, the following action was accomplished. a. Vandenberg AFB, Calif (Missile Operations) was contacted and related no missile activity on the range during the time period Edwards AFB, Calif (Base Dispatcher, and also related negative results.
