Sound; if heard, describe sound: Whistling sound when acceler- arourd base Other pertinent or unusual features: Blue, green, white of object and car radio went dead on all three occasions. b . Description of Course of Object: over cen-:er What firs t called attention of observer to object: First Observation: Lights first~ then flying and hovering of Milan, Michigan at 200'. ,- Second Observation: Lights observed flying approximately 40' above vehicle. Third Observation: Lights first seen. (2) Angle or elevation and azimuth of object when first observed: Straight up (3) Angle or elevation and azimuth of object upon disappearance: (4) Description of flight path and maneuvers of object: First: Object tipped laterally when accelerating. Second: Object svrung from side to side. Third: Object l anded at intersection straight dovm, took off again in a climbing flight path such as an airplane taking off. How did object disappear: Slowly flew northeast. Went straight up. off to southeast. Hovr long \':as object visible: One hour and 30 minutes T::1 or fifteen minutes. Two or three minutes. c . Position title of preparing officer: Major Raymond W. Nyls, Base Disas~er Control Officer and Assistant Base Operations Officer. Comments: The o'::>ject seen appears to be of unknown origin. Its shape and size conform basi~ally to other alleged sightings reported in papers and magazines over the pest years.
