PHYSICAL EVIDENCE Aa observer watched a high flying aircraft she noticed anothe~ object \4\i.ch appeared as a bright star that began to ~ave in c SW direction. As I loo~ed up, I noticed ~n a.irplan! traveling west at a high altitude. As I w~.tched this plane pass under the constellation Gemini, I noticed wha.t I had previously thought to be an e~tremely bright star in the constellation begin to move. It ar.>p~ared to be ,na.ny times higher than the ~)a.ne. I c~.lled it to the attention of !ny husband, and both he and !rlY 8 yea.r old daughter s aw it. We determined it must h P ve_ been a, s~:t~lli.te, a.s it was very high, R.nd brilliant, like a star. My husband and daughter 'vent into the house; and-~-co-ntinued to watch the object tra.vel in a so.uthwgst~t~Y direction for approximately !.9 to 15 .ni.nutes. ~ -It diet not "drop" over the horizon, P.S did .another satellite I hod s een, but seemed to travel at the same a.ltitude. The farther away it tnoved, the closer to the eartl1 it appeared, but did not travel in an arc. This puzzled me, so I tried to find out if there were any satellites scheduled to appear over our a.rea.. I loo~ed.in the newspapers to no avail. Finally I called the Asbury Pork Press, and spoke with the weather depa.rtment. I a.s:{ed if any satellites had been scheJuled, and was told there ''ere not. The l?erson I spoke with R-lso said that the State Police had received a. number of calls concerning the object from the Metedecon~ nre~, which is about 11 niles from rny home. I did not c::tlJ t.h e police, ns I felt ~ littl e foolish, since the sudden rash of " s i,!.::hting3" i1. tile :!. rea l P.,tclv. I do not ~tnow whR.t this object was, and will not make Any wild gue8see. I do not believe it was a plane, because of its high eltitude and brilliance, and because it was not moving whn I first snw it, unless it was traveling towa.rd lny line of vision, which could malte it appear to be stationary. I realize ~nost of these sightings c e n be explained in a very sen'sible manner, and I am always with an o-pen mind, ready to evaluate all situations of life today,in what I believe is an intelligent manner. Would you please inform me of your opinion concerning this matter, and also answer a few questions for me? would 1 il~e to know why i
