U:Fu Sigbtings, Bakersfield California Hq USAF SJ>FOICC (Mrs Hunt) Wash DC 20330 Re1'eren.ce the attached letter requesting information on his recent unidentified observations. The first obsertation ot August 1965 is very similar to an observation of an intxa-red photo mission. The color of the lights, slow speed, low altitude and the noise are all characteristic of this type ot observation. The noise is caused by a generator used in operating the equipment. '!be second sighting of 1 Se:ptE~b~e~ could be caused by test aircraft at high altitude as FOR THE CaotANDER EHIC T de KBl!!EBE, Colonel, USAF Deputy for ~chnology ~nd Subsystems u. S .
