The object was observed between 25 August and 29 August while on a trip to the Sequoia National Pa!"k. If i s correct in his direction of ~light, it is likely that the object observed was not a satellite . No kno>nl satellites have retrograde orbits. All knmm satellites have an easterly component in their direction of flight. Since the observation was made on succeeding nights, it is ~ore likely that an airc=aft st high altitude on a regularly scheduled flight was observed. Since is interested in observing satellites) we arc attachL~g a list of the visibl: satellite s P~d S?~ce debris Colonel, uS.',_-:;> an~ Suosys;:erns 2 . 3~t~llite listing .,_ ')t_.
