A.~ watched it a ppeared to roll and jerk and sent what looked like flame~ L vrard It did not mo~we otherwise as a :flying object and it. was so; br..i~r 1t hurt my eyes to look at it .Ju .. t I \Tatched it for about t.en minu .. tee. t. it gradually died away as any fire would have done , bu ... t it did NOT i'aJ to the ground , nor mov:e from its ori;inal location. To my knowledi;e no one else in this co~n::unity saw t his . I did not. s .e e _ account or it in. our 1 a cal. paper n~r hear of any one else see 1ng i .t:.. The following is a suggested rep~: a. Dear Mrs Rains, lve h ave r eceive d your letter, in which you describe the observation of a.n object on the mornina of 28 J\lne 1965. On 28 J\me sunrise at Trenton, Miasouri occurred a t 449am on a mognetic heading of 06o degrees. Your letter does not mention the position of the sun With relation to the posi- tion of the object which you observed. From the informati on which you have s ubmitted, the Air Force tendo to agree with your son' s analysis of your observation. We also believe that you sav the sun rising in the Northeast.
