There is no indication of c ru nNESTIGATIVE ACTION: (During period 20 Aug -10 Sep 65) led eight cut negatives which had apparently been cut with scissors. The edges were quite rough. Microscopic examination showed that the eight frames matched, that they were part of the sanr roll, and that the UP'O :picture was the last frame. onal con- tact prints were made vhich duplicated the print Mr first gave the Investigating Ot:ticer. Apparently the print was dodged". All of the marks in the print are in the negative. The three verti- cal "light" lines in the print have not been explained. They appear similar to those vhich could appear on a fr~1c which has rested cm:era film pressure plate for a long time; hovever, camera has no pressure plate. The following analys'is was perfo~ed by the combined effort of DPA (Photo Interpreter) and DPP (Photo Processing) personnel 2. /u'IALYSIS: . The print sho~-rs rocky grot:.nd. lri th a large hill on the right side. The sky covers about half of the print. In the 5A7 is a large -vrhite oval ixr.a.ge. A do:na appears on top of t he oval. The cor.:plete ir.1age has a light trail. infer from the interrogation by Captain Charles F. Reich;.-.uth (SSD), of Xr. t.ook the p~cture, t hat the object lias far away at t :1e tin e of photo- graphy. s be the case, tC.e size of the object would be huge. There is nothi~g to indicate that t he object or i~Age is solid. The edges of the i~age are not s harp, but the bac~ground and foreground are. No banding, lines or detail of any kind are visible on the object tc show that it is solid. A line should be visible .between the dor.ie and. bott o::1 oval of the object. Such a line is not present. The camera used to take the picture has a behin~-the-lens shutter. This type shutter would not smear an image. This image appears to be s meared. 3. ,;e agree with the analysis done at SSD, that the image could be caused by a drop of developer on the emulsion, then wipecloff ?SO TO ANALYSIS BY: C;u.RT~FS C.
