The enclosed UFO sighting was reported to the Mill Valley Radar Site (ADC) ae the enclosed letter indicates. However, by the time the information reached this office, it was too late for an on-the- spot investigation~ 2. This same phenomenon was seen by several other persons. Since t heir reports coincide with the enclosed info~tion, statements were not obtained. J. The person who supplied the report and the color slide is a pro- fessional photographer. 4. Probable identity of this object has not been determjned. As far as can be determined, there were no weather balloons or missiles in the area at the time of the sighting . '10LFRAM I nfOrm8tion Of!tcer This is 1n reply to your observation or an unidentified flying object on the night or 2 Novem- ber 1964 and the photograph taken of this object. The analysis and microscopic study ot the 35mm !'11m has been completed. The area or interest was enlarged to a power or 20 and is attached tor your The conclusions of the study after photo analysis are as follows: (1) No true photographic image is v13ibla on the clip. (2 ) The v13ible image could be a f11.3 flaw or a duplicated flaw or chip in the amuJ.sion. (3) The constant denaity rrom film ed~s to film edge could indicate that the film 'lfas not exposed 1n a camera but in the open. Al3o, it appears that the photograph was taken after dark while the time or the sighting was reported as du8k. This could indicate that the film could have been accidentally exposed without your lmowledge. Prom the data presented in your report ~e are unable to make a positive idetntit'ication of the object you observed. The size or the object was indicatad as the size or a fifty-cent piece held at arm's length. Thia 1ndicates an object of tremendous size since the eize or the moon 1a less than a dime held at arm's length. Your description and ttme motion sequence were not included. There were two particular temperature lnveraiona 1n ;he area one at 480 reet and the other a t 550 feet. The poattlon or the object was given as 20 degrees ele tat!.on, 330 degrees azimuth. D13appearance azimuth was reported. No major astronomical object a9peared in th13 location FOREIGN TECHNOLOGY DIVISION.AFSC UtiClASS\fl~D The following information i s requested for analysis of the visml observation: ~(1) A local map of the area and the location (d1raet1on of ob.1ect f rom the obaervers location) including az~uth and location of the object observed. ( 2 ) A time motion sequence of the object's r11ght in relation t o the motion of your ear and the direction and fli9ht path or the object after the car was stopped. (3) Of particular interest is the manner o ( d 13appearance of the object. (4) Any information pertaining to the description or the object 1n changes, size, or 1ntensity are also dea1red. We regret the del&7 1n asking tor tbis 1nrormat1on and hope that the data requested may not have be en f or- gotten with the passage or t!me. Stncerely. MASTON M.
