Both his wife went into the back yard and observed the object for 15 or 20 minutes. It was similar in shape and color to a star but was larger. It was lnltially observed at a 45 angle from the southern horizon and moved perceptibly from east to west. During the period it was observad, it moved across half the visible sky. It was apparently in space or at an extremely high altitude. This incident was reported t~ ATC Command Post on 16 May 1964. The information was also furnishe d to the Detachment 1 of tha 2nd Surveillance Squadron, located about 10 miles from Laredo. 4.
