This WAS 8e~n fro m a ~ort~blo telescope by our director, Mr. Juan Frutos and his ~ife, both ~o-r vhich are accustomed ~o observe our skies. The co!ors presented were from yellowish red at its g reatest rna~nitude and while it ~as losin g its ~rilliance it re~ched a color of pale yello~. ~ I n its greacest inten3ity the colors observed were shades of golden reaching to bright red. Consi.derin~: That our director, t1r. o f Valparaiso) is experien e an ze lo11s, that im di~tely upon that this body was not an aircraft h~ telephon~d El Belloto and gave h i s obaervations to the Officer of that Day, Lt Cabezas,. asking him if it would be possible to obtain information regarding Azimath and altitude , etc.,atnce LT Cabezas vas a t that mome observing the unidentifi~d objects with the knowledge t~a t th~re were no aircrafts at that ti~e. 7he obs~rvation~ of LT C~be~as supporte d the visual sightings of Mr Th~re were s ome differ~nees in the altitudes observed by the two individual3, this was du~ to the geographical span between El Belloto and the Observatory in El Paso Hondo, even though the r~ very close to eac~ other. In addition the obaerv,:!tions made by Hr were made by a portable telescope and those made by LT cabezas were ma ith binoculares. This information furnished has been the product of a verb31 investigation in which all t h e antecedents which presented any doubt were eliminated prior to the writing of this report.''
