I Ethica l Cultuna l School Camp Cooperstown Department of Ci'\11 1 Defense Washington, D.C. GE!l.t lemen: Hiking back from Cooperstown, this morning, we sighted a moving object high in the sky ~ approximately 2:15 A.M. This object appeared to have an .sosceles triangular sh~pe. It glowed an orange -yellow and appeared to have no other lights.. Upon its apP,earance, a motor-like sound was heard which was similar to'that of an airliner. Traveling from East to Vlest on a straight crurse, it made an aparent tUI'll to the left. After it disappeared over the treetops, v;e sighted it again in another clearing. Hoov- ering in the oistance,to our amazement ,the object made an acute circula r loop. A Vh ite hazy light then enveloped the object , and it slowly disappear~d from our s i ght. Then at approximately 2:45-A.M., we sighted another strange object. Since our view ~as obstructed by the trees, our sighting of this object wa s limited to a few seconds. A very brilliant white lig~t shot across the treetops l eaving two vr~.kes behind it. Its course wa s parallel to the g r ound, rather than falling, a nd .it was traveling from East to West. One of the three of us thought it h ad had a ucer-like shape. I~ appeared to be reRsonablY close, and bad no srund whatsoever.
