Our records indicate that Echo I, which 1a still in orbit, would have been n~rth or Madrid moving in a southeasterly j1rect1on at 17 minutes after midnight on 18 July, 1962. It should have been at an elevation or 82 degrees, which would put it in t~ line of sight you have indicated with-refez'ence to Ursae Majoris.
