Reference your memos dated 21 Sep 6o and 29 Sep 6o. 2 . All three radar sighti ngs reported are from the same radar station and vere noted on the s ame radar equipment. This equipment is quite povertul. and occasionally picks up reflections from various weather situations such a s is encountered whe n warm moist air is mixed vith cold dry air. The app earance and disappearance of targets as reported, al.ong ..rith the extremely fast changes in altitude, lends credence to the possibility that some form I o f weather condition was responsible for the unidentified targets whic h re reported. 3 . llo reports of sioilar targets have been receive d from othe r stations in the area whic h might have confirmed or d enied this explanation.
