On August 17th at a pproximately 8 or 8:30 PM I went up in the forestry look-out at Inskip 1-fpuntain !or a clearer viow of Echo I. .At; about 9 ?M I saw a dull red light above ttm horizun at what , the look-out, descri as Turner Mountain. This was observed by Mrs Jones, , and ma for sorae-tir.le, lS to 20 minutes at least. I lost sight the l~ht at times as it~peared to fade and then caae back stronger, g ly, not with quick flashes. Later, about 9t30 PH we all three observed a similar colored light Jr.oving from right to left at the eame elevation for many miles, finally loaing sigilt of it completely. 'l'he original light aver Turner Mountain vas first apparently stationar.r. By lining it up with a tower support I tound it to be moving to ~ left, then upward. Because of its fading periodic&l.ly I lost it a number or tilkes. With the binoculars I to r inu it again.
