END CUOTE. Air Tactical Center, Wright-Patterson Air FOrce Base, Gentlemen: In connection with the article attached relative to the brilliant obJect sighted Thursd~ night, June 23rd, I t~uld like to relate details as follows tor vbatever value can be gleaned therefrom; . "I vtas driving alone from Breaux Bridge, La., toward Parks, La, and at a point about tive miles out or Breaux Bridge, direction at approximately 10: 20 P.K., I sighted what appeared like a comet with a tej.J, talli stral t down am dead ahead. It was someltlat of a e rop ape o eot w le or no taper. I first saw it through the top ot r:rr tinted windshield and otcourse it appeared blueish-green but atter it cleared the tinted part, it appeared brilliant and whitish. ~1Y' guess is that I could see at about a 30 degree angle trom horizon to top of windshield and that I saw the object falling tor abrut halt this distame. The tirst head part of !t appeared to bog down, :!'rom which a second head part tell with tail similar to first part. Other than that it looked a bit d1fterent, I presume it was a meteor, which as alwe_vs appears to be only tive or ten miles away." (Ex Captain Air Tra~port
