Captain Smith contacted Mr. by telephone to verify the report (2) There are nunerous airline flights along ainrays that pass overhes.d and 15 miles East of the observer s position. As stated in paragraph lj, three airline flights are 1<nown to have been in this area between 0700Z and O?JOZ from records retained by Portland FAA Tm.rer on I?R traffic routings. There are no records to indicate the number or position of aircraft on VFR flights in this vlcinity.
