Robinson, J76th ,..rzna.- ttent and Electronics Squadron of this s"'".ation, reveals th~ follm.rin g information: "This item appears to be a water house stop th~t could b~ used in conjunction with the 0-2J Radar Recording Camera o r the 0-22 ~ar Record- ing Camera. These type cameras do not hav e built-in diaphrams, therefore different size water house stops may be used to allow tha ount of light po.ssing through a nd exposing the film to be varied. This "'ould be extreme- ly v aluable in high altitude, high speed aircraft using the above ment- ioned cameras if in co th a bombing sy3tem~ 6. The carbonization of the glass apparen melting of the glass may ve been caused by air friction as would be generated by extremely high ::;pend aircraft or by a free fall from e:ctreme altitudes.
